Our Theatre Arts program held ShortsFest on September 10 and 11.  Student directors presented scenes, musicals numbers and monologues with more than 54 cast members. The audience and a panel of judges selected four scenes to move onto the next ShortsFest event on November 3.

From Sept 26 to Ocotber 1, the Theatre Arts program will present the 5th Annual Project: Discourse event. Classes across campus are involving students in lessons planned to incorporate themes and aspects of the play. Religion classes will see portions of the play and hold discussions about the topic of Joan of Arc.

Seating is limited to this year’s production of The Lark as it is being held in the Little Theatre. Tickets go on sale next week at the Performing Arts ticket window. This production tells the story of Joan of Arc’s trial and life. It  debutted on Broadway in 1955 with Julie Harris, Christopher Plummer and Boris Karloff. Our production is being staged in the round and promises some exceptional performances. For more information about showtimes for The Lark, click here.
