MD Students Adopt a Cardinal & You Can Too!

Campus Ministry Heart Original Art [Converted]The Religion Department at Mater Dei has engaged in some exciting activities in observance of this historic time of transition of the Catholic Church.

The students observed Pope Benedict’s XVI’s last day in office on February 28 by studying the hierarchy of the church, succession and the last time a pope resigned. They also studied Pope Benedict XVI’s legacy during his time in office and viewed content at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishop’s website at http://www.usccb.org/about/leadership/holy-see/benedict-xvi/index.cfm

Adopting a Cardinal – Each student has adopted a Cardinal to pray for in the time leading up to and during the conclave. Visit https://adoptacardinal.org/ to join our students in prayer for the next leader of the Church.

Like the rest of the world, we at Mater Dei await for that plume of white smoke.
