MDHS Choir Spring 2013

This is all possible under the excellent leadship of accompanist Mr. Kent Helwig, Assistant Director of Choirs Mr. Justin Miller and Director of Choirs Mr. Scott Melvin. Please join us next week at Segerstrom Center for the Arts for the annual Spring Choir Concert. It will feature our Women’s Ensmble, Advanced Women’s Ensmble, Concert Choir, Men’s Choir, Handbell Ensemble and the Honors Chambers Choir. There will also be guest appearances from the MDHS Band program, Westminister Choir and the MDHS Jr. High Honor Choir. Over 300 students will perform in the Spring Choir Concert on Thursday March 7. Last year, our Advanced Women’s Ensemble and the Honors Chambers Choir recieved a special award from the Heritage Festival. Their prize is the oppurtunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City. These choirs will travel to NYC in late April. You can watch them on NBC Today show during the 9:00 hour on Friday April 26. They will be singing at the 9:00am Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday April 28 and performing that evening at the famous Carnegie Hall with Mr. Scott Melvin conducting.
