January 19 – We hit the ground running. Upon arrival, our students started their journey at the Washington Monument. The temperature during this picture was a brisk 33 degrees and it was 4:00 a.m. our time, but our Monarchs roared on. We toured the United States Holocaust Museum, enjoyed a walk through the National Mall, and toured the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. After dinner the students and their new friends from Mississippi and Tennessee geared up for night tour of Washington DC.
