Homecoming Queen 2011

Talented Performing Arts student Alexa Vellanoweth was recently voted by her peers as this year’s Homecoming Queen.

Alexa is a well-rounded student in the areas of academics, arts and athletics. Students and teachers appreciate Alexa for kindness and postive energy. We are very proud of Alexa and all of her accomplishments.

This year Alexa is on the Varsity Soccer and Varsity Lacrosse teams. However, Alexa is still able to balance her high gpa and enthuaism for sports with her love for the performing arts. Alexa is in Bel Canto, the advanced women’s choir. She is also a very active member of the MD Improvisational Comedy Club. Just days after the homecoming festivities she performed in the Improv Comedy night and in the Fall Choir Concert.

Please come support Alexa in her upcoming Performing Arts events. Next week, she is performing in the Halloween Chuckles for Charity event Oct 25 at 3:00. In Novemeber, she is performing in the Project: Discourse play Dead Man Walking. It performs Nov 16 to 22 in the Monarch Pavilion. In Decemeber, she will be in the annual Madrigal Feast choir event.
